Andy Bampton - Andysmanclub
Andysmanclub
Andy Bampton
Andy started attending Andysmanclub sessions over 6 years ago then joined the facilitator team at the Halifax group. Three years later, Andy now runs the group and oversees over 20 more in West Yorkshire.

Andysmanclub was founded in June 2016 after the loss of Andy Roberts to suicide in the April of that year. The first group session was held in Halifax on the 4th July 2016 and 9 men attended that first night.

Andysmanclub have grown to over 170 groups across England, Scotland and Wales.

In the 7 1/2 years since that first night, over 4,000 men now attend groups each week. They offer peer to peer support and offer men a safe, confidential and non-judgemental place to offload and unburden some of the issues around day-to-day life and all that it can entail.

All of their groups meet at 7pm on a Monday night (except for bank holidays) and all groups are run by teams of facilitators who were themselves group users and are now volunteers.
Danny Matharu - Founder of The Football Mental Health Alliance
Founder of The Football Mental Health Alliance
Danny MAtharu
Danny is the Founder of The Football Mental Health Alliance who recently launched 'The Vault' to the English grassroots football community.

Working in Partnership with Reward Finance Group and England's County FAs, The Vault is a digital suite of mental health support tools to empower the national sport with its collective mental health.

Danny has collaborated with specialist psychologists, coaches, parents/carers, licensed FIFA Agents and ex-pros to identify key challenges and create innovative solutions for The Vault.
Julian Kynaston - Chair of Propaganda and Gen-M
CHAIR OF GEN-M
Julian Kynaston
Julian Kynaston is the Chair of GenM, the menopause partner for brands.

GenM, founded by Heather Jackson and Sam Siminster, empowers its Collective to better serve the unmet needs of the 1 billion global menopausal audience, too often overlooked and underserved.

A self-proclaimed 'rampant feminist', Julian aims to debunk myths and open up crucial conversations about menopause, educating the wider audience on how menopause affects the majority of us, either directly or indirectly. He emphasises the need for increasing awareness among the countless women still in the dark about Perimenopause, many of whom are frightened by their experiences.

Not someone who you would look at and think 'menopause', Julian speaks with expertise and passion on the unequivocal link between menopause and mental health and how both women and men need to understand it to support themselves and others.

ANDYSMANCLUB are a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. We want to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation. #ITSOKAYTOTALK

ANDYSMANCLUB takes its name from Andrew Roberts,
a man who sadly took his own life aged 23 in early 2016. Andy was a lovely and doting father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, and was just 23 years old when he was taken away by suicide, sadly and tragically without warning.

On average one man every two hours takes his life in the UK. It’s often said to be a factor is that men don’t talk. That’s why ANDYSMANCLUB was born.
